James 2:22 – “Faith without works is dead.”

At SMCC, we believe that everything we have is a gift from God, and we are called to use our gifts and talents to make the world a better place. We strive to become agents of change in building God’s kingdom, putting our faith into action through acts of service. As St. Teresa of Calcutta once said, “Christ has no body now but yours, no hands, no feet on earth but yours.” We are Christ’s living presence in the world, sharing our faith through service, which brings meaning, purpose, and joy to our lives. To help make service a habit of the heart, we have a service hour requirement and provide many opportunities, including domestic and international service trips.
