Christian Man/Woman of the Year Awards

Br. Bradley Flint, FSC Christian Man of the Year Award
The Brother Bradley J. Flint Christian Man of the Year Award is named after a man that exemplified the attributes and character that define the highest award bestowed on a young man at St. Mary Catholic Central High School. Brother Brad was a 1991 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School. During his years at SMCC, Brad was known as an excellent student, an accomplished athlete, a Christian leader, and a young man with a magnetic personality. Brad’s love of life, family, friends, and sports was contagious. God was present in Brad in a very special way. Subsequent to his collegiate studies, Brad followed God’s call and joined the Christian Brothers order. He soon gained a reputation as an outstanding young educator, a man of great faith, high standards, abundant compassion for his students, and a great love of the Lord.

Sharon Wood Hoffman Christian Woman of the Year Award
The Christian Woman Award has special significance for SMCC. In May of 1995, the St. Mary Catholic Central Community lost a dear friend, Mrs. Sharon Hoffman. Sharon was a graduate of St. Mary Academy and a teacher at SMA and SMCC for over twenty-five years. As Chair of the Theology Department, Sharon modeled what it meant to be a true Christian Woman. From that time forward, the SMCC Christian Woman Award is known as the Sharon Hoffman Christian Woman Award.
