OPEN YOUR WINDOW TO THE WORLD.
HOST AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT!
We have several international students who are attending St. Mary Catholic Central High School this school year. For this reason, we have partnered with gphomestay and we are searching for caring families to open their home to an international student. This is a great opportunity for your family to learn more about a different culture and way of life.
Our host families receive a stipend of $800 per month for 10 months to cover any costs that arise from having an extra person in your home. Hosts have access to ongoing support from a local gphomestay Residential Coordinator. Gphomestay also provides orientation and training for each host family. The Residential Coordinator also conducts monthly check-ins and facilitates quarterly events.

SMCC partners with the Cambridge Institute of International Education, a company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, dedicated to assisting international students with obtaining educational opportunities in the United States. We have several international students attending SMCC and we are planning to expand the program during the 2015-2016 academic year. For this reason, we are searching for caring families to open their home to an international student. Our students enjoy getting involved and learning more about American culture. This is also a great opportunity for your family to learn more about a different culture and way of life.
Host families receive a monthly stipend of $800 to cover any costs that arise with having an extra person in your home. Host families also have access to ongoing support from a local Residential Coordinator. The students have their own insurance and spending money. The family should speak English at home and ensure that the student eats 3 nutritious meals per day. Being able to involve the student in family events and activities is a big plus.
